Which is better, Billy Elliot the musical or the film?

Neither is better than the other. Both are superb entertainments and make the important point that young people must choose their own path in life.



Ignore the comments of the "musical hater." No point even in posting, person! If you hate "musicals" (which much mean "theatre" altogether), then why even read the story?



I saw the musical with three different Billys (the originals) in NYC and own the superb film. The live performances were astounding and seeing the accomplishments of the young people involved makes one cheer--- for the future of "live theatre" in our country-- and the world!!!!!Which is better, Billy Elliot the musical or the film?
I haven't seen the musical, but all musicals are rubbish.



Billy Elliot the film was terrible sentimental tripe.



Therefore I expect Billy Elliot the musical to be rubbish + tripe, which would make it worse than the film.



So yeah, the film is probably better.
