In the Billy Elliot movie (2000), why do the angry people throw stuff at the bus? And why is Billy's Dad on it

It's a bit confusing...In the Billy Elliot movie (2000), why do the angry people throw stuff at the bus? And why is Billy's Dad on it
The people on the bus were the men that didn't want to strike and wanted to work, because they needed the money. The men on strike were angry at the men going back to work because they crossed the picket line and were not standing up for themselves. Billy's dad was on strike at first in the movie but then he chose to go back to work because he needed to pay for Billy's dance school fees.

hope that helps!!
the people are throwing stuff at the bus because they are on Strike and the people on the bus are SCABS and not standing with their brothers on the picket line but crossing it !

There was a lot of this years ago with the miners strikes.

and yes Billy's dad was a miner..In the Billy Elliot movie (2000), why do the angry people throw stuff at the bus? And why is Billy's Dad on it
The mine workers were on a strike, trying to get better labour conditions: better salaries, better labour schedules, etc. The people on the bus were strikebreakers, which means a kind of treason to the people on the strike. So, strikers throw things to strikebreakers.
