Help! Billy Elliot Essay due and i don't even understand the question, will someone help?

how does the director of 'Billy Elliot' explore the idea that in confronting something in their culture, people confront something in themselves?Help! Billy Elliot Essay due and i don't even understand the question, will someone help?
Well, we as humans are shaped by our experiences, most of which come from our culture and society. When we confront a part of our culture we are often questioning and confronting the ideals we have been brought up with and have believed to be right. You might like to mention how by confronting our society we confront something in ourselves that may change our idea of our own identity. Because the topic mentions the director I'm not sure whether this essay is meant to be one of themes of cinematic technique. Ask your teacher about this.

Hope that helps.
Look at the bigger picture - what is relevant in a person's culture may be relevant to themselves.Help! Billy Elliot Essay due and i don't even understand the question, will someone help?
It means that if someone stands up for an issue in their society (ie teen pregnancy) they start to question or change THEIR opinions.

I guess? Maybe? If that sort of made sense?

Sorry ^^
