In December, my friend is coming to visit and we're going to see a show in New York City. We're stuck between Billy Elliot and Radio City's Christmas Spectacular. I know Billy Elliot is a great show, but the tickets are all around $150 so I was wondering if it was worth the price. The Christmas Spectacular looks good too and it has cheaper tickets. I would love to see the Rockettes.

Billy Elliot sells out FAST. You would need to get your tickets now if you decide on that show. If you decide on that show last minute, you could do try the ticket lottery, but your chances are pretty slim.
The Christmas Spectacular is a classic, and highly enjoyable. It's only around once a year. I, personally, would choose this, but it's your choice. If you decide on this, go ahead and get tickets now for the best hope of sitting close.

They're both good choices, but tickets to "Billy Elliott" aren't simply expensive, they're hard to get.
The show is regularly sold out.
Needless to say, Radio City Music Hall is a much bigger venue, and the Spectaculars go on several times any given day.
So, for availability alone, you should go for the Spectacular. The venue alone will make you gasp.
