I dont really get it, why were all the people in the movie throwing stuff at the bus etc, why were they so angry? why were they on strike? (In billy elliot btw).
and if anyone has a link to billy elliot the movie id be very grateful. I cant get to the video store and assignment due tommorow X.X.

they were angry at the miners who went to work because the rest of them were on strike, and as long as someone was getting the job done, they wouldn't succeed in getting more money.
