Have you seen Billy Elliot the musical and is it worth seeing?

I had seen the film which I thought was charming and so I avoided going to see the musical as I usually don't like adaptations for the stage or vise versa.

I also thought that as it has been on for more than two years it would probably be a bit stale and mechanical.

But last week my friend had bought tickets so I rather reluctantly went along. As the previous posts have said - it's wonderful.

Especially good are the children and the coreography.

Definitely. It's one of the best things I've seen on stage (and I work in theatre!). It'll make you laugh, it'll make you cry and you can't help but be moved by it. GO SEE IT!Have you seen Billy Elliot the musical and is it worth seeing?
Do you mean in the West End in London? If yes, it's amazing! I saw it 3 years ago and I'm going again in May and I can't wait because it was sooo good! It's very powerful and it'll definitely make you laugh and cry. It inspired me to take up dancing seriously again. If you've got young kids, you might want to think about all the swearing, because there's quite a lot... but it's not bad and what do you expect?! Gooooooo to see it because it's wonderful! xx
